Are number 7 bpa free nalgene bottles ok to use?

Yes, Nalgene is a reputable company and has changed to BPA free plastics….

okay, nalagene is going to be switching to BPA free products but a number 7 is not a safe plastic! You have bought one of their regular ones. Number 7 is an unsafe plastic, it is the same one that baby bottles are made out of. Nalagene is not pulling thier products from the shelves. all the old bottles with be sold first before replacing them with newer bpa free ones. The BPA is causing manufacturers to voluntarily come out with new products, but it is not a recall. Recalls mandate that unsafe products must be removed from the shelves. The governments stance is that all plastic is safe so Nalgene is not required to pull their older products. I would return yours if you can and look around for a newer one.
