I phoned Avent this morning and was told that the nipple and shield do not contain BPA but that the handle does.

Hmmm... Not trying to be a smart butt or anything, but I thought the BPA issue was only if you heat up the bottle or whatever it is.

So I haven't worried about pacifiers because I don't heat them up...

Am I wrong?

Ok, just answered your question with a question, lol

depends on what its made of. If the pacifiers are made of latex or silicone then your safe, if the paci is made from plastic then probably.

I phoned Avent and their dummies are not BPA free. The only thing they sell that is is their Magic Cup.

Edit: The teat itself has no BPA in it but the dummy 'shield' has BPA in them.
The only dummys with BPA free shields that I have found are MAM 'Tiny' and 'Soft' dummys.

Edit again(!): just got an email from Tommee Tippee and none of their products (inc dummies) have any BPA in them except their bottles.
