Numbers wear off of bottle FAST!

Review Date: August 22, 2010
Reviewer: jlohnheiser,
My husband and I purchased these bottles for our daughter before she was born. We began by using the small, 6oz bottles with a slow flow nipple. They worked great and even though they can be a hassle to clean, we loved them! However, once it was time to upgrade to a medium flow nipple and a larger bottle we were quite dissappointed. Not only are the medium nipples almost impossible to find, but the numbers on the large bottles (and only the large ones for some reason) wear off within days of using them. What good are bottles without oz markings on them? If you are looking for small nb bottles, these are the way to go! However, if your child is 3+ months, do not waste your money!
They leaked!

These seemed like a good choice until they leaked on more than a few occasions. The worst part is they leaked while in the bottle warmer, which created a smell that was HORRIBLE.
I would not recommend them to anyone.

Our granddaughter will not use another bottle for her eats. She loves the size and now is able to pat the bottle. We wish we could purchase the playtex ventaire advanced bottles in our local stores. Thanks for being there for all babies.Playtex VentAire ADVANCED BPA Free Wide Bottle Newborn Gift Set
Worked as well as Avent bottles

I had a collection of Avent bottles and two WIDE mouth (only use the wide mouth kind no matter what brand--much easier to clean and fill) Playtex VentAire bottles. The VentAire bottles worked as well as the Avent bottles. In fact when my son was just home from the hospital the size 1 nipples on the Avent bottles were too fast for him and we used the VentAire bottles for the first three weeks exclusively. If I had it to do again, I could go either way: Avent or VentAire. I have only one VentAire complaint: on one of my VentAire bottles the numbers began to wear off rather quickly. This only happened on one bottle, the second was not impacted. Maybe different lots with different ink???
DON'T BUY THESE BOTTLES

Don't buy these bottles! At first, they're ok but they WILL eventually leak. With my first son, we used the Playtex dropins which worked fine but we didn't like having to continuously spend money on the dropin containers. So we tried the VentAire Advanced. HUGE mistake! My son is 8 months old now and I now buy the cheap Gerber 3-pack bottles and they work fine. At least I know they won't leak.
