My son really likes these utensils

| We bought three sets of these utensils online (although they are available at Target in-store.) We received one of each color (pink, blue, and yellow), which is fine with me. I had been searching for a fork that would actually stab into food, as opposed to just mashing it up. Most children's utensils are too dull to do anything. These forks are great. My two-year-old son can pick up hot dogs, grapes (yes, he eats grapes with a fork), and even apple slices. The knife is not sharp, of course, but he still likes to "cut" his food with it. The spoons are just a little too wide, but they hold the food well and are easy to use. I might have to go pick up some more sets! |
Can't pick a color

| As another reviewer mentioned, it's very frustrating that you can't pick a color. I have a boy and a girl so I ordered two. I figured my chances were good for getting at the very least two different colors. Well, I got two blue. Because of this, I won't be ordering any more of these. This is a shame because the quality of the utensils is quite good. They seem easy to grip and quite durable. |

Our son will be 3 this month and we have purchased these at retailers in the past but with the free s&h it was cheaper to purchase it on Amazon. The colors may vary means just that. We have a red/blue set at home and received a pink set. My son will use them just fine until my daughter is old enough.
PROS:
- My toddler can feed himself easily since about 18 months.
- The handles are large and "chunky" but not heavy or odd to hold.
- The handles have a surface that makes it easy to grip, even if they are wet.
- The fork isn't overly sharp and neither is the knife. Initially I was reluctant to give a 2 year old a knife, but with supervision he really loves cutting up his own vegetables and sandwiches.
CONS:
You can't pick the color your shipped so if you are hoping specifically for "girl" or "boy" colors step into the local retailer, otherwise - enjoy! |

| My kids just love these! We got rid of all our other children silverware. Our 3 and 1.5 year old can grab them comfortably and utilize the knife without worrying about cutting her finger off to cut hot dogs. BUT Amazon shipped us 3 different colors (I ordered a quantity of 4) when I wanted all pink! Parents know about kids and colors and who picky they can be. |
