| I had this pump for my first born and loved it so much that I bought another for a friend who is expecting. Here in Canada the pump is well over $200 so I was thrilled to see it here for under $130. As for features, very simply, it does exactly was it was intended to do. It's small, quiet, and attaches to any regular size bottle. |
Good for supplemental pumping only

I bought this pump because of its affordability and the good reviews. I am nursing and only using a pump to help maintain my milk supply (my son is a lazy nurser sometimes). I thought the pump was okay for my purposes, and then I decided to try pumping exclusively for a day or two. It was terrible! My breasts were painfully engorged and the pump would not provide enough suction to relieve them. Only when I nursed again did I get any relief.
I had hoped to use this pump when I go back to work, but now I will probably have to buy another one. I like the pump design, which keeps the milk from flowing through any parts of the machine, but the pump also makes a loud beeping noise, which seems pointless to its operation, and this is frustrating when I've had to pump at night.
I would recommend this pump only for those that need to supplement, and not for exclusive pumpers. |
So Far, So Good!

I bought this pump a week ago when the rental on my hospital Ameda pump expired. I use the pump 1-3x daily. I selected this pump because it uses the same kit as the Ameda hospital grade pumps and the Ameda Purely Yours Pump.
After using the pump for a week, I'm pretty happy with it. I've only used it plugged in, not on battery. It has good suction and the controls are easy to use. The kit parts are exactly the same as what I had from the hospital, so I have spares of everything. I primarily use the pump set as a single, using just one side, and it works very well that way. It does a good job as a dual side pump as well, just requires setting the suction higher. The pump is very small and would be easy to transport.
The only thing I dislike is that the pump is a little noisy. It makes a beeping sound with each sucking cycle and the sucking contraption is louder than the hospital pump. This noise however only seems to annoy me. My husband can't really hear the beep and my son (1 month and a week old) does not seem bothered by it. I can nurse him on one side and pump the other, he never acknowledges the sound and it does not wake him when I pump while he sleeps beside me. It is simply a sound that annoys me slightly, but does not affect the use of the pump or the baby.
I would recommend this pump at this stage. It works well for the price and is actually hygienic, because it's a closed system, like the hospital grade pumps. No milk gets anywhere near the pump unit. There is no tubing to clean. It's the same closed, highly hygienic system as the hospital pump. |

| Been using this pump for a little over two months now. Have dropped it numerous times and it still works fantastic. I pump anywhere from 5 to 8 times a day and the suction is still great! Not to loud for work. I just turn the fan on and no one can even hear it. Lightweight and small, makes it very portable. The different speeds and suction setting makes pumping fast and easy. Would recommend this pump to anyone. |
Works with Evenflo Glass Bottles

| You can screw on the glass bottles in place of the plastic ones it comes with and pump directly into those. It is heavier with the glass bottles, so you will definitely need to use two hands. It works even better than the Evenflo pump with the Evenflo glass bottles. (My Evenflo pump cracked when I tried it) Also, it is fairly lightweight and you can easily carry it to and from work in a reusable lunch bag. I was disappointed with the DVD that came with it, though. I was hoping for more advanced information, like how to use the 2 dials (speed and suction) effectively to get the most milk out of each session, but the information on the DVD was very basic. |
